Flexible working – men vs. women

Though both men and women welcome and prefer flexible working schedules yet reasons for preference significantly differ from each other. Studies conducted on flexible working conclude that for most women the reason for attraction for flexible working is that it allows them more time with children. Whereas, for men, it would be spending less time in traffic is main attraction for it.

The studies also revealed that flexible working is comparatively, may be marginally, more popular among women than men. Like men, women also feel that they are more efficient and productive while working flexibly. However, it has been observed that during flexible working schedules, women avail fewer breaks while working remotely when compared to men.
